I’ve always adored this title screen from Episode One, and there hasn’t been a playthrough where I haven’t stopped to listen to the entirety of Dr. Kleiner’s I'm actually glad Valve retconned Episode 2's ending. After reading Epistle 3, which was the supposed plot of episode 3, everything in that story feels off. It doesn't feel like a story for a Half-Life game. Everything feels a lot more serious and almost nihilistic at times.
